How many of you changed your Grips on the HM...??
I don't care for the stock Grips on this bike. I was wondering how many of you have changed your grips on your Hyper? If so, what did you switch to, and do you like them? If you could post PICs of them, I'd love to see them.
Thanks...

I hated the stock grips so I changed to the Renthal full diamond pattern. They're much more comfortable and have a lot better feel. Be prepared to do a little trimming on the throttle tube. Ducati has unique referencing "nubs" for the stock grips. These will need to be shaved down towards the inside of the throttle tube for the grips to fit flush.

What's the differences between the stock and Renthals? Thicker, softer, stickier, contoured?
I'm thinking the standard grips on my Monster are too thin and I'd like to get something a little fatter and softer (never thought I'd type that phrase in the internet! )

I changed mine. I found the stockers to be way too hard for my taste. I guess I'm just used to softer grips and that tackyness feel that provides better grip and comfort. I went with some Pro Grip ones but after the install I didn't like them nearly as much as the Renthals on my supermoto so when these wear out a bit I'm going to go with the half-waffle diamond soft Renthals.

I was thinking about trying the Rizoma's. Has anybody tried these on anything?

I loved the silver Rizomas I had on my GT and they do look fantastic, but if you want grips with more cushioning than the stock grips, the Rizomas will disappoint you. They're beautifully made and will probably last forever, but padding is negligible.
I've only ridden about 10 miles since the bike trade yesterday (the Hyper isn't "legal" until Monday) but my sense is that the Rizomas might not be the right choice for this bike.

Yeah, I picked up a pair of ProGrip Gel Touch. They are soft. Looks like a waffle pattern. It was to freakin hot to ride or work outside to replace them today, so I will do it this week. The stock Hyper grips are just to hard, and they seem kinda wide too.
Ha, I just noticed that the ProGrips are made in Italy. At least no one can bust my balls about swapping them out....

First thing I did was put BMW grips on mine, they have a nice contour, comfortable grip and isolate the vibration better.

I know for the dirt I LOVE Spider grips. I think a set of Spider grips mounted on Fastco Flexx bars would feel great on this bike, but probably not look that good.
