HM won't start
My HM does not start.
Opened the switch, handlebar switch on, push start button, nothing.
The horn, lights, etc.. work fine.
I push started the bike and ran fine.
I left the bike running for about 15 min the tried again to start it...nothing.
While it was running I checked the charge (on the gauge) and it was reading like
13.6---13.7.
Last time I rode the bike was about 10 days ago and it was a fairly long ride (about 200 miles) and the day after that ride the bike started fine after it was washed.
What's wrong?

Alva,
Check your battery cables. I had a similiar issue with the lights and such coming on but not enough juice to crank it over. I thought the battery was depleted so I charged it with no luck. A check of the cables and they appeared alright but they were not. I tightened everything down good and it started right up.
Is the starter clicking at all when you try to fire it up?
If it is not the above then maybe you have a bad starter solenoid for some reason it may have went out. I am assuming you are still under warranty so that would be a dealer fix.
Let us know what you find out. Goodluck

In what gear did you jump start ?
I tried it once and it only locked up the back wheel.

At first I was thinking bad kickstand switch, but you were able to bump start it, so that is out. Have you tried pulling in the clutch while you try to start it. Maybe the bike is not getting the signal that it is in neutral. Or as Motard-Menace suggested maybe it is just loose lead not allowing enough current.

What Lelen said. Make sure you're in neutral. This fooled me once. While parked, somehow my bike got knocked into gear. If in gear with the side stand down, the bike won't start even with the clutch pulled.

If all the suggestions fail just take it into the dealer under warranty. Worst case is the starter went out. The sound on mine has a whine to it that was noticed when compared to another Hyper that sounded much more solid on the start. I wouldn't be surprised if it has some problems enough for me to take it in to get checked out.

Wait a minute, you said while it was running you checked the charge and it was 13, well of course. Check the charge on the battery while it's not running, that's what counts, you cant get it started, all that told you was that it's charging.

Did you check for error codes? Hypers have a starter sequencer, my guess, any sensor could hold it up before the ECU will permit a start. Wiggle all the relays and elec. connections.

mine has indicated several times that it is in neutral but it was really in first gear. Make sure the bike is indeed in neutral or the sidestand is up.
