DB Killer Advice needed
Situation: Termi slip-ons with DP header
Without quiet inserts = Loud, good for track days, and rides to the mountains, but bad for the neighborhood. However, the perfect sound. In other words, I love this sound but a mob is forming and they want to take me and the HM across state lines and leave me there.
With quiet inserts = Quiet, good for the neighborhood. However, suffers from a sound identity crisis.
Is there anything that can be done that places the sound between these two extremes? I've thought about cutting and drilling the quiet inserts but knowing my style I'll go one step to far and need to buy new inserts.
I've seen some short DB killers that might be applied in place of the inserts but I haven't found any for the Termi and HM combo.
TIA for suggestions!

with the LV inserts I found that lengthening the tubes on the inserts actually increases the volume as the tubes are picking up the exhaust before it gets baffled. at 12" length (orig is maybe 4") it was very loud (no where near as loud as with the inserts out) but had no back pressure so would get very loud on decel. every now and then I cut another 1/4" off. I am looking for that point where the sound is good but there is enough back pressure to prevent the decel noise. I have a 10" chop saw with an abrasive blade so this is easier than it sounds.

I have the full Termi and never run it with the DB killer and it is plenty loud. Haven't had any neighbors complain but I travel through my neighborhood quite civilly so as to not piss everyone off. Has someone specifically spoken with you about your motorcycle exhaust?

Hi,
Lee C. did something like this to Sport 1000 baffles. Are the HM baffles anything like those ones?
Termignoni Baffle Mod (2-2 slip-ons)
Check out the detailed drawing. V. nice work.

I have the same setup and it's not that loud...just gear up through the neighborhood and keep the R's down. If the neighbors complain about that then the DB killers probably are irrelevant

Have you tried keeping just one DB killer? Works fine with my setup and sounds just right.
