New around here....
I've been riding a long time (Johnson was in the Whitehouse when I started riding offroad), but I'm new here. The reason is that I purchased a new Hypermotard on Friday evening. Less than 72 hours later the service icon was showing on the instrument panel! For those of you who know Northern California, this bike has been on goat trails in Contra Costa, Solano, Napa, Marin, Sonoma, and Mendocino counties. This bike rocks! But, I suppose I'm preaching to the converted. The only real complaint is that I wish it had more range.
Just wanted to introduce myself.
Cheers,
Kurt

Welcome, the bike is just a down payment for the parts that you will buy. Gotta love the Hypermotard!!

It's a regular 1100, so it's red. It's my first Duc, and there's no way it was going to be any other color.
Thanks for the offer. Riding 36 this weekend, but probably on my BMW (boo! hiss!) because I need luggage space. Maybe some other time soon.
Cheers,
Kurt

Come on out to Northern California. I've got some roads to show you.
This bike is a superb goat trailer, and we've got a bunch of them around here.

Phil! It's all your fault! I went riding with Jester & Kluts on Monday, and this thing just rips! Just got back from riding it again this evening up on Grizzly Peak, Pinehurst & Redwood. Saw a black one coming the other way on Redwood. What fun!!!
I'm seriously tempted to take it on 36 this weekend.
Cheers,
Kurt
