termi prices
does anyone feel that they got a great deal on the termi full system package?
if so, how much did you pay, and what has your experience been with them?

it seemed at the time that I got a deal, but now I think it was more ordinary. I paid 2195. I was told 3000 at one dealer and 2400 at another. That is why I thought that I got a good deal.

It'll be hard to compare as the package is different now. They used to come with plastic side panels, now they are carbon fiber! The current retail price is $2400. PM me for a deal, we've got them in stock.

I paid $1700 for mine However, the dealer gave me a discount since I bought the bike and paid for the install at the same time.

The prices on termis for Ducati is ridiculous. I paid $3,000 for the full 2-1-2 system. The gain was OK but on any other bike termis are 60% less than they are on Ducati. There are some huge margins in there for the 2 companies. Look at termi for a Japanese sportbike - 1/3rd the cost!

Don't forget that the Termi systems for the HM include an ECU. If you were to buy an ECU separately it would be about $1200 from a duc dealer.
There are other alternatives for exhaust systems but they will require either a PC3 or rapidbike module to provide the fueling changes to run properly. The termis are pretty much plug and play so part of what you're paying for is convenience and no hassles with warranty issues.

The other reason the comparision isn't reasonable (on top of what dukepiliot said) is the volume of pipes produced. How many HYM systems are there compared to an R1? Termi doesn't have to make as much margin per unit on the "mass produced" products to get to the profit they want.

Not to jack the thread but this question I think it related.
How much should you expect to pay the dealer to do a full install of the ECU and a 2-1-2 Termi system?
I could probably change the pipes out myself but I'm unsure about the ECU or any tuning that may be done.

I think the average labor is around 3 hours? So...expect to pay around $300 to $400.
