Flapper valve and check engine light
I'd like to try running with the flapper valve disabled to see what improvement that would make with no other changes. The easy way to do it would be to unplug the server wiring and rotate the servo pulley to the open position. That would of course trip the check engine light.
To turn the light back off, would the dealer have to reset it or will it reset itself when I plug the connector back in? Just wondering. I just wanted to do a quick easy experiment...

I did just what you are thinking. It made a BIG difference in more power. I took the bike back to the dealer and they ran the bike on the dyno with and without the flapper connected. The difference was 9 rear wheel horse power. This all started after they installed the dual termi's 8 months ago. A new ecu is on the way.

Flapper
I removed the valve and the cable , but let the wires to the servo motor attached , no light this way...
The race exhaust ecu and the one with the cams does away with this system , so does the mid race pipe system for the dual termi's

?
Servo is the electric ,motor that controls the cables
Flapper is the valve , there is a bearing on one end
I took a hack saw and cut the bearing clean at the pipe , unsrewed the flapper on the shaft , removed
Took the pipe to a muffler shop and had it patched ( two hole's ) and then sent it out with the LV Cat pipe for ceramic coating...
Need more help your welcome to call..

That's all good, but it doesn't answer my question:
If I unplug the servo, go for a test ride, then shut off and plug the servo back in, will the check engine light still be on the next time I start the engine? Or will it reset? With the standard ECU.
