Control set-up
I was surprised to find I could not adjust the Clutch and Fr Brake lever to my liking. Typically I like the handlebars just a degree or two back from center alignment with the forks, and the levers pointing a bit down.
I went to adjust my levers today and found they are factory set with a stay somehow intergrated in the bar clamp(s).
I didn't have time to take them apart today to find the problem but I definetly will. Maybe it's the off-roader in me but, does this bother anyone else here?

Bars have a hole in them and the mounts have a peg to hold them in place. You should be able to grind the peg down and position them any way you want.
Out!

It bothered a lot of us! That's why most of us have gotten rid of the locating pins and adjusted our bars and levers they way we like them...

My controls are pretty far forward, I had to bend the reservoir brackets to level them out. If you remove the locating pins on the other controls you will need to wrap the bar with a piece of electrical tape because there is very little clamping force with the stock plastic housing. The lever perches have sufficient clamping force so they will be fine.

It's an easy mod. Most people feel the locking pin was put there for ease of installation at the factory--worker grabs levers, puts against pin, no measuring or adjusting.
AZ SCOTT I think was the first to suggest back in the day...loosen levers and switch housing, slide them over slightly so you can see the pins, grab pliers/vice grip and pull pin out, NO grinding needed! Sit on bike and position levers to your liking, tighten down and go!
