more bits falling off
Hey everyone,
Just offering a timely reminder to get your loctite, allen keys and screwdrivers out and tighten up all those miscellaneous screws...
I already lost one rubber insert for the footpeg (no problem, ditched the other one anyway). Today I thought my front end was collapsing - turned out the screw holding the horn had fallen out and the horn was dangling by it's wires.
I'd be interested if anyone else has caught other critical screws that need a look...?

oohhhh yesss!!! i recently made a trip and then decided to wash my lady and found out that a screw holding one of the timing belts was missing the brake lid was out of its place as the screw was off as well. i replaced the timing belt screw and bought a 'secure' screw fir the rear brake lid holding the cup!!!
little annoying things....

My rearset's had enough red locktite for three bikes
I removed most of the silver parts had them powder coated the parts satin black

Yeah, I have found they Loctite the shit out of a lot of the bolts on this rig. I have never seen it used as much as this. I have been using it when doing my parts swaps, but I have been going with blue in case I got to go back in later. Red is overkill for a lot of "non-critical" accessories.
Out!

After losing a couple of handguard screws, I got out the blue loctite and checked everything. The factory had loctited about half the fasteners on my bike. Maybe it was built on a Friday afternoon
Haven't lost anything since. It's funny, the bike doesn't feel like it's shaking that much...

That's because it's running on both cylinders...;-) If you want to ride something that vibrates, try a KTM 640 single. I buy Loctite by the litre.
