Plexiglas Wind Screen, could someone post a picture?
I had to go on the highway last weekend for about 6 miles. Not bad at 65 mph, or below, but wow, any faster it's almost blasting me off the bike. I'm pondering the idea of maybe getting the Plexiglas Wind Screen. I would really like to see it mounted on the bike first. Could someone please post a picture of one mounted on the Hyper? There is another thread about these cracking, but no one is posting pictures of it....
Would love to see one mounted.
Thanks...

There was a link in that other thread leading to the thread where people have posted pictures of it mounted.

Without a screen the bike actually has very smooth/quiet air in the chest area of a rider. Where the wind blast is hitting you is in the shoulders. Of course this is tiring as it makes it easy to get tense. The wider/taller guy you are with a bulkier jacket the more you feel the blast. I feel a serious difference between my winter "bulky" textile coat and my summer mesh textile jacket.
Try riding the bike at about 75/80moh and with your left hand move it around in front of you to feel where the wind is. Right in front of me its very quiet. Its only my shoulders that get the blast. I have a feeling that the DP shield would lessen that a fair amount.
BTW, I don't think the wind blast on this bike is any worse than other naked bikes with upright rider positions. In fact, during the upcoming summer, it may be nearly perfect as is.

Yeah, I hear ya. If I'm on a highway, I'm moving at about 80mph so it was pretty intence. I'll do another run and try what you said. I do like the way the windshield looks so I think I may just get one anyway.

Perfect, Thanks...
I wish it matched the other small black piece, and wasn't that frosted color. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to get one.

I think it is ugly as hell, but it works really well to deflect the wind off my chest. It's on and staying on.
Cheers

Ya bunch of pussies.......
I'm baaaaack...... it's GHEZZI here, via kdxpilot
At 175cm (that's 5' 9 and a half for my learned American friends) I find all day cruising at 120kph (that's 75) a piece of piss. With the tank bag un-expanded 150kph (that's 93) is also cool.
You pussies must have never ridden a bloody bike without a fairing before!
Flippin' Dooley, Fonda Hores, I mean Honda Fours had Texas cow horn bars and all, and we rode 12 hours a day at a hundred miles an hour just to have a beer. Oh, and that was sitting backwards to keep the dust out of our eyes
BUY A FREAKIN' CAR!!!!!
