Light alloy flywheel

Hi, guys my dealer said that i skould purchase the light alloy as it will give the engine a good boost. Now my small experience sais that to install it takes a hell of a mod as it takes a lot of stuff to be taken off. Is it worth it?
what should i expect in terms of performance and what is actually used for?
anyone who has install it already?
whats your general opinion about it?
