Hypermotard; Exhausting

Oh the pain the indignity, I just got the full pull Term 2 into 1 system.
As many of you know, it sounds awesome. But now I get about 40 miles to the tank. Now I wouldn't really care but all the best roads around here are 60 miles between stations. My question; can I remap, should I reinstall the stock ecu, or should I just dump the entire system and chose something else?

40 mpg isn't too bad... you should have enough fuel to make 60 mile fuel stops, with fuel left in reserve. Assuming you had your TPS reset when you installed the Termi kit, a couple of things you can do include adjusting your fuel trim if this hasn't been done already. You'll need to have your dealer do this or purchase the Technoresearch Scan Tool along with a gas tester. This will make a very marginal difference in fuel mileage unless its way off. Another solution is to get a PCIII or Rapidbike unit and have a custom map made to optimize your fuel mapping.

40 miles to the TANK?! Something's wrong here. If you're getting 40 miles per GALLON, that's equally amazing...

Yeah, if its 40 miles to a tank, you got a problem there and something is wrong! I'd also dump the oil, you probably have gas in your oil too.

That's what I thought, before I was getting about 100miles on the tank.
I had the dealer install the system, but it seems to be rich.

Hey-

I had 28-30 miles per tank. I thought because driving in the city is always start and stop unless you get a strip of green lights then its a 1/2-1 mile burst.

40 miles per tank, 14 miles per gallon, is way off normal.

I say a trip to the dealer is in order. Your ECU may be bad. Is the back of the pipe all sooty?

For anyone not getting close to 30 mpg there is a problem. I don't care what mods have been done you should get better then 10 mpg on a motorcycle. I've got the Full Termi and get aound 90-100 miles per tank before the low fuel light even comes on. Last fill up was 110 miles and it took 2.74 gallons of gas telling me I could have went another 20-30 miles if needed.

I got 33.2 mpg on my last tank (I have the slipons with slipon ECU), basically commuting on light traffic freeway. Maybe I need a trip to the dealer.

Just a guess, but I think short trips (lots of cold starts) on aircooled bikes really sucks the MPG down. Take the same bike & do one 80 mile nonstop ride & I'm guessing the MPG goes up 20 percent. I'm not sure if this applies to water cooled bikes as much, as I only own the aircooled ones.

BTW, mileage did go down about 20 percent when I put the slipons on, and I have had the bike "reset" at the dealer.
