which Termi to go with??
Hello all, this is my first post and happy to have found all you nut jobs!! i just bought an S a few days ago - kinda of on a whim after hearing about it how cool they are and just plain being out of it for too long - last had an R1 four yrs ago. my question is regarding the Termi systems out there... i have spent some time searching on this forum for info on which system is preferred 2-1 or 2-1-2 - which is a matter of taste - looks, performance, costs, etc.
performance/hp gains are, i guess, my number one priority (2-1????). and a distant second priority is if i could stay with the stock look of the high exhaust exit. i did read that maybe the 2-1-2 with some sort of cat replacement is just as strong and still retains the high exhaust look - is that true??? i know that the race 2-1 comes with the ecu - would that need to be sourced separately if using the 2-1-2 option?
i know that there are other options with other companies, but i would like to stick with Termi. thanks - oh, and i absolutely love the bike (300mi so far). thanks -

If you want performance the 2-1 is hands down the best choice. Also, I think it looks much better than the undertail exhaust but that's a matter of preference.
When I put the 2-1 on my bike I could not believe the difference, the response is smooth and crisp and the power is noticeable. The sound is unreal, I have yet to hear a bike that sounds better and I've heard quite a few
Make sure and shop around, the prices tend to vary on them.
Congrats and welcome!

I don't have an answer to your questions. However, if you do decide to go for the Termis 2-1 Full System with ECU, I might have a brand new one in a couple of days.
By the way, it is not 2-1-2. It is 2-1-1. The can on the left side is a dead can just like the oem. It is for symmetrical looks.

I did the 2-1-2. It is a pricey system but I gained about 6 hp and 5 lb ft. I think its very similar in gains to the 2-1, except its another $700 or so

Termi
THERE IS PLENTY OF FLOW ON THE LEFT, LV CAT WORKS GREAT WITH FLAPPER REMOVAL AND DUAL TERMI'S
DUAL TERMI 1250.00
LV CAT 225.00
FLAPPER REMOVAL , WELDING 35.00
CERAMIC COATING SATIN BLACK 155.00 FOR A COMPLETE SYSTEM
I DO CERAMIC COATING ON ALL MY BIKES, WILL BE DOING CERAMIC GOLD ON MY DESMO NEXT WEEK
THE CERAMIC GOLD MATCHES THE MAGNESIUM COVERS AND THE OLIN'S QUITE WELL,,

If your goal is performance orientated then the Full System is the way to go IMHO. You get the best weight savings and power increase from a plug and play stand point. There are other ways to go about getting the power increase too but takes a little more creativity with exhaust mods such as buying the particular exhaust then the cat converter, airbox kit and finding a performance ECU etc. Some folks on here have went with Leo Vince and then pieced it together finding the other parts needed to get a performance gain saving some cash compared to the Termi but if you look around you should be able to get a Full System for around $1900-$2100. Its crazy expensive for sure when talking about an exhaust but worth it if you ask me. Here it my dyno with full Termi kit.
