Non-DP Luggage (Pics)
I told someone on here that I would post some pics of the luggage I am using and I know there are a couple threads on here that have been talking about luggage options etc. so I figured I would just post a few pics of the stuff I am using. Both are Cortech and fit and finish is excellent. The tail bag is very user friendly. It just hooks on by bungee at four points and installation and removal is quick + it has a carring handle and is expandable. It would easily hold enough for a weekend trip. (For me anyway) The mini tank bag also attaches easily with (3) clips and is great for running around town. I actually never take it off. BTW I have less then $100 bucks into both items. I got the mini tank bag new for $40 and snatched the tail bag off flea bay for $45 if I remember correctly. I don't think its terribly expensive new even. Anyway here are a few pics.

Motard-Menace,
I was the one who asked. Thanks for posting the pics. It looks like you didnt need the DP luggage rack for these. I think I'll get that tank bag.
Thanks

I was able to get my mini magnetic Cortech tank bag to work as well by adding a clip front and rear. I also have that tailbag, but I think with the underseat exhaust it won't work as well. I haven't tried to mount it yet, I need to try. Yes, I can do a weekend trip with mine as well. They make nice stuff for the $

Axe,
You may be right, not sure how it would work with the undertail exhaust because I wrap the rear mounting bungee's under the tail and just hook them together. Most likely not a good idea to wrap it on the exhaust...
It works well with setup I have though............

How did you attach the tank bag's rear mounting strap? I bought that same bag a while ago but haven't quite figured out the mounting. On most bikes you would loop the strap around a frame tube but on the Hyper you can't do that

I ran the strap under the seat and around the cross bar. I used a saftey pin to hold it in place believe it or not and have not had any issues. Hope that helps

Looks to me like the rubber handle and hard plastic shoulder strap mounts on your tail bag will mar the finish on your rear fin PDQ. Just saying...

Yep, I noticed that it would be rubbing on there a little maybe. I've used it a handful of times though and haven't really noticed any real issues. You can tuck the handle down I just didn't for the pics. I guess if a little wear and tear comes from using it, I can live with that.

If your going on a trip, some clear contact paper on that tail section or some masking tape will prevent chaffing. Like Chapstick I guess!
Anyway, as near as I can tell from the cheap ass plastic tabs that hold that chicken shit piece of red plastic on aren't gonna last long anyway. Mine sits funny and has from the beginning. When I pulled it to fit the exhaust I noticed one tab was nearly gone and two other were wearing quickly. I am guessing there will be a run on these pieces with Ducati..........soon!
Out!
