Engine warning light??

So, a few times now I've turned the key and had the engine warning light on. last time just turned it off and on again and it cleared. this morning I had to start the bike then turn it off and on again for it to clear. nothing popped up on the dash as an error but thinking about it do I have to pop into the menu thing to find out what the error is? I'm riding in the wet a LOT so I'm guessing some water has got in somewhere and is giving a false reading on a sensor or something.

Also, anyone else noticed that with the chopped of front fender the front of the bike gets more road dirt and water on it from your own front tyre spray than the other road traffic, its super odd in the dark as the headlight lights up a fountain of water that then arcs back up and onto me!

If you hit the up button on the left side it should tell you the code and you can look it up in your manual. If you have disconnected the exhaust valve that is most likely the cause. Or if it real cold you can get an air mass sensor error.

sweet I'll check it out next time it comes on. even tho i think its cold here i don't think ~17c is too cold for a bike! haven't messed with anything short of sticking an alarm onto the battery and tail light. I'm guessing water ingress or something.
