small saddlebags and luggage

My Dad just bought a new Roadking and we're planing to do some shorter trips. I have the DP tail bag and rack but haven't installed it yet. Is there anyway to secure small saddlebags to the DP tailbag. I've been looking at Cortech and Givi for some smaller saddlebags but not sure if they can easily be secured over the top of the DP tail bag.

Any ideas?

TIA

I don't think the rear luggage mount is the sturdiest thing to begin with, and adding another bag or two and more weight might not be a good idea. If you really need some luggage space, you might be better off skipping the Ducati rear bag altogether and getting a large duffel-style luggage roll (like an Ortlieb) that you can strap longways along the seat, and over the tail. I've got one of these that I've used for long rides on my BMW's, strapped across my saddlebags. Here's a picture of one that's similar to mine that I found at http://www.aerostitch.com

Sounds to me like all you need to do is load up the Ol' Man's Road King and your good to go.

Cortech makes a rear tail bag that I can pack enough stuff in for an overnighter. If it is bigger than the DP bag, you could fit it well on that mount. I haven't tried it on the Hyper, but it is a very nice bag on my FZ1. With the Cortech mini tank bag you are good to go.

Out!
