02 Sensor

Gents,
I just got my Hyper back from the dealer, 600 mi service & underseat termi install. I noticed the 02 sensor is still in the leo cat elimator. I thought they did away with these when going to the Termi pipes..

My questions are;
Do they eliminate the 02 sensor in the compter & leave the wires hooked up or do they typically take it out & plug the hole?
If they usually plug the hole (but didn't in my case) is there any performance advantge to taking it out?

Many Thanks,
ct

If your stock ECU doesn't get a reading from the lambdar sensor (O2) an error message would appear. You using stock ECU or the one supplied (?) with the Termi? I took my cat out (butchered it out and welded with gradiently smaller pipes but retained the o2 sensor. Getting reading for the Zard Penta (if it ever does reach my dealer - paid in full a month ago!)

The ECU supplied with the Termi slip-on kit (along with the DP airbox lid) is designed to be used without the oxygen sensor.
