Question What brake pads will you be using?

I just noticed that after 4000mi the rear brake pads are almost gone!!
the fronts are still fine, so what brand of pads do you Ducati guys use?
stock, EBC's or what? TIA, Alex

For the rear, I will most likely get stock replacements if they're available. If not, some Brembo pads. Hardly ever use the rear brake though so its going to be a while before they need to be replaced. For the front, either Ferodo or Dunlop pads, probably at the next tire change.

Dude, you really should rethink your braking methods. I go through 3 front pads before changing the rear. Using more of the front gives you a whole lot more control of the bike while braking. I'm speaking from 15 years of racing experience, but I could be wrong Look it up

Its a old motocross trick I learned, back in the day when I used to race professional MX, we would "drag" the rear brake slightly on the entry of
really rutted corners, it helps keep the bike straight for better corner entry control. Its just part of my riding style now, and I too old to change, and I don't feel the need to, as I seem to ride the bike OK, and I'm speaking from 10 years of professional MX racing experience, and 30 years of just plain old riding. I'll go 2 to 3 back brakes pads for every front ones, so your way will probley same money on pads in the long run! LOL Alex

I haven't really checked my pads yet but the back one is squealing now which could be nothing or maybe something. I've got about 2300 miles on the HM now. I guess I'll take a look soon. I'm with Alex I use a little trail braking as well when riding, been doing that for long time. I also work on low speed stuff quite a bit to so the back brake gets used often. As for hard braking 85% front/15% back.........

I think I need to take a look at my pads. I don't think I have worn down them down yet, but my fronts are starting to groan, maybe they are glazed. The rear feels really vague. I have never ridden a bike with less rear brake feel. I too use my rear brakes a lot, I guess dirt bike habits die hard. I have had good luck with EBC so I will give them a shot when I change pads, if they make pads for the Hyper.
