I'm new & where to get windshield
Hey All,
Been lurking around for a couple of months, and thanks in part to some of the info on this forum I took the plunge & bought a Hyper 2 weeks ago.
I haven't ridden in 20+ years but am absolutely stoked and I know that I made the right decision going for the Hyper.
Can anyone recommend a dealer in the USA (or Europe) who can assist with shipping a Hyper windshield to South Africa?
It's been 2 weeks and the local guys can't be bothered to get back to me. I guess they figure they sold the bike, ... so?
I know there are mixed feelings on the asthetics of the screen, but this is AFRICA and aside from the side roads where I'll be doing the majority of my riding, there are some trips where I will be doing 100km stretches on the freeway & I figure the screen should be a worthwhile investment on trips like this as the feedback here seems to be that it does work.
Thanks in anticipation

Thanks Yota,
I did see that thread before posting. I recon it's probably an isolated case and it's not going to put me off.

Not sure who has them in stock, I placed an order and waited nearly two months for the one I have. I like how it blends with the bike but I do not believe it really does anything but shade the speedo. I am waiting to see what other shield makers put out.
Looks like no one hass posted a site for you, there are a lot of adds on this forum alone but if none of those trip your trigger you can call the shop I use and ask for Steve. parts@pjstriumph.com is his e-mail

Thanks Hoss,
The impression that i got (on this forum) was that the windshield was quite effective but if you honestly reckon it's not that effective I'll probably hang on for a while and see what else comes up.
FWIW I did go through some of the advertised sites but couldn't find the windshield listed on any of the ones I tried, so I reckoned I'd ask around instead.
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out for sure.

I'm not quite sure BigHoss is talking about, I think the windshield makes a
BIG differance! especially at the higher speeds, it takes the heavy wind blast
off your chest and really makes the ride more comfortable, I'll NEVER take mine off! Alex

Ja, Pierre sure has great ITALIAN FLAIR for a SAfrican , but I recon he's been outta here so long he probably can't remeber what boerewors & biltong are any more.
Alex,
How tall are you? Maybe that's the difference between your's & Hoss' experience?
