clutch and rear brake fluid dark
Bike has barley 600mi. and the fluid in the reseviors for the clutch and rear brake is much darker than the front brake. Is there any reason for this other than the difference in the volumes of these systems? Anyone else seeing this? Should I flush, or just shut up n' ride?

Normal.......my dealer mechanic that did my pre-delivery walk through actually told me to expect that from the clutch cylinder.
Ride more, worry less!
I just got some Rizoma billet fluid cylinders and can't wait to post up some pictures. With those, you will never know the color of the reservoirs.
Out!

I changed and flushed both systems and within two rides they were dark again. I am going to install a STM clutch slave and I hope this will help. I am wondering is this discoloration is from o-ring wear?

Gentlemen, don't worry about that. It's perfectly normal and expected to happen. It's mostly because of the extra heat these 2 reservoirs are exposed to, compared to the front brake (see the route where the line goes for the clutch cylinder and also see where the exhaust pipe is in regard to the rear brake reservoir ).
No flush is required or will help, it will be dark really fast again. Also no O-ring wear is to blame for this either, and of course an aftermarket slave clutch won't help (for discoloration, but it will certainly be a very good upgrade).

I am going to +1 on Docs statement. I usually bleed my rear brake about once a season and I have a Evo slave Cyl. on mine too. I have experienced rear brake failure twice now and the heat generated near the reservoir is terrible I had a guy measure it at 136 degrees on an infrared thermometer. I really only use my rear brake for stoplights and hills to give my clutch hand a rest.
