An Aprilia HM?

What do you guys think about Aprilia's upcoming answer to the HM? I actually really like the styling, but you'd think they could do a bit more than a blatant knock off of the HM's rear end, as the pipes and side panels are practically lifted straight from the Ducati.

I have an Aprilia SXV550 that has been at the dealer with a blown motor for almost a year. Aprilia's costumer support absolutely sucks........I'll pass.

It looks OK and much better in black but does not even hold a candle to the HM! I like Aprilias but Ducati did their homework on the HM, it's unrivaled IMO

Being water cooled I bet the HP numbers look good. Pretty decent styling for a water cooled bike. Like the gold on the wheels but maybe not on the frame as much. Reminds me of my Honda XR400 in some ways. I like it as a whole.

But as alluded to by gps637, not sure about the dealer network, even in sunny socal its too far across town to the nearest dealer for me, & the Duc dealer is less than 3 miles from home. I'm a fickle customer that way.

I kind of like the looks but their color combos are kind of odd. I'll wait to give final judgment until I get to ride a production model. I don't think I'd ever buy one because their dealer network blows and because of the complaints I've read about reliability on the SXVs.

It will be called the Dorsoduro and is based on the new Shiver 750. Look at the Shiver and you will see it basically the same with different bodywork and position. The Shiver is a naked standard but has an upright feel similar to the Hyper when seated, so it was probably easy to do this with a lower tank and plastic.

Sexy

I like it. It's missing that beautiful single sided swingarm.
I was interested in one but after hearing the horror stories about the SXV 450 & 550, I'll pass. It would be one thing if Aprillia stood behind their product better and had a better dealer network.
I'll swing towards the HM when I have the money saved up.

I was actually thinking about what my HM would look like with the wheels powdercoated gold. Maybe someone with some photoshop skills and time on their hands.....
