Can anyone explain this?
I have noticed upon startup of my Hyper some white in the inside of the sight class. It goes away after a bit of running and the oil and sight glass are then normal and clear. It couldnt be a blown head gasket as I have 150 miles on the bike and it runs great. Any ideas? Pic attached

I haven't noticed anything like that on mine, but I'll take a look.
Sounds like just condensation.

Hope it's not foam.

I dont think its foam as the oil looks fine. It's on the sight glass. Maybe condensation but not sure how that happened?

Looks like condensation. I almost posted about antifreeze/water in the oil looking like milk and such until I remembered, duh, AIR COOLED.

what it's telling you is you need to go out and ride that thing... You are not getting it warm enough during your prelim rides, go out and ride it more, that's all it's saying. Get it fully warmed up and it will go away.

+1
I had same thing in my sight glass when I let the bike sit for 4 weeks in Jan waiting for my new mirrors & handguards. A nice 100 mile ride cleared it right up. Got to get the oil temp up in the 200's & hold it there for an hour or 2.

Good one.......missed it myself. Sometimes I forget that this is is air cooled. That puts an end to the head gasket speculation. I'm sure it's just condensation.
+ 100 on the "go out and ride the thing".

milky sight glass
I have the same look on my glass. I just had the oil changed and thats when it appeared. it went 2900 miles without the milky glass. I'm thinking it's the oil the dealer used is different and not emulsified with what's in there already. Previously there was Repsol in there. I'm not shure what the Duc dealer used but I'm going to swap it out and see what happens.
