HID H7 or H4?
I need help with choosing a suitable HID kit for my Hyper. On the owners manual it says it uses a H7 bulb but when I inspected the headlight on the bike it says H4. So which one should I use? and do you guys recommend me with a suitable HID kit for the Hyper? Cheers!

I changed my bulbs yesterday. It's definately a H4 not H7. I decided not to use HID coz I'm not sure how much of a banging the HID can take. (I ride like a retard and wheelie every chance I get) so just changed to Philips Diamond Vision (5000k rating)
Besides retro fitted HID are illegal in my country.
I would suggest you order a H4 HID kit otherwise you may have fitting issues.
Cheers

It's definately an H4 in there. I don't believe that the H7 has dual filaments to run high and low beams. If you decide not to go with HID's, PIAA Xtreme Whites work pretty well. We have those in stock.

I would not advise HIDs for two reasons. They are not made to go in halogen housings that aren't made for HIDs, this is the reason why there is such excessive glare that comes from these housings. The other reason is the HID retrofit kits are not legal in the USA. My suggestion would be to buy a European bulb, such as OSRAM Silverstars not Sylvania Silverstars. The Sylvania Silverstars use a coating over the bulb such as other companies to make the light look brighter but in turn it lessons the output of light as well. I admit I have wasted hundreds of dollars on these products in the past but after I found this website I don't even waste my money. The website is http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bulbs/Hid/conversions/conversions.html[/URL]
Hopefully this will help you in your decision.

I got my HID kit today from JEM and it included no instructions. Anyone fitted one?

If anyone is looking for a set, I have mine from a race I did in wera for sale. Bought new for $330. Will sell cheap. I had mine plugged in to the Hi-beam side on our Sv, so it was off on low beam and turned on when I switched to Hi-beam. All I can say it Holy S*$T! The difference was huge! Here is a pic of the my bike in front of a bike with standard lights. Also, here is a link to my auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ksid=p3907.m32
