Limited range?
Is anyone concerned about the DRZ sized fuel tank on the HM, or is everyone planning to keep their hooliganism local?
Has anyone looked closely enough to see if there is room for some additional aftermarket capacity without messing up the svelte looks?

Keeping hooliganism local here. Couldn't go much further anyway with zero wind protection..

I think you'd be missing the raison d'être of the HM by going touring on it.
I had a WR400 that I turned into a supermoto and it had the same basic limitations, an 11 litre tank which was fine for a ride in the bush and blasting around the Adelaide Hills but I had no intention of ever doing more than 50km in one sitting (couldn't anyway with the torturous dirtbike seat on it ).
I think the idea behind the HM is similar...

If they would redo the front of the MS I'd be there. For all of its fundamental goodness, I just can't get past the looks. I'd wager that if they spent a minimal amount to put a more conventional front, ala Gran Canyon, on that bike sales would be much better than they are.

My friend Shawn says the same thing? He keeps saying it looks like a scooter. I just don't get it, I think the MS is a great looking bike. Though it is a little friendly looking.
I kind toughened mine up a little. I've got a red 1000 DS with a cowl instead of rear seat, removed the passenger peg brackets, powder coated the wheels black, put on a termi kit with a bypass pipe, removed that charcoal thingy and got a nice titanium clutch cover with a red plate.
I could ride it all day and then look at it all night.

Shrug, getting 200km's out from one tank is more than enough for me personally and should be doable if people are really getting 40+ mpg with 1100DS/1000DS engines.
