I don't see the Hypermotard as a replacement bike for anything. I see it as an extremely fun-to-have additional bike. I'll be taking a very close look at one when they hit the showrooms.[/QUOTE]




I have to agree. I do not think it will be a flop. There will be those of us that buy it right away, and those that will buy it the second year. I just could not wait (for the HM's to hit the beach here) and bought a used Monster for this summer and hope to add the HM next spring. If you don't like the looks, buy the KTM Superduke, that thing is truly ugly. Made from leggos or something.

I think this bike is just great. I have sat on several of them at the shows and in person the ergos are perfect for me. The only thing that I am not totally enamored with is the 'beak' front end. But that is merely a matter of getting used to it, or....close inspect shows that it is only a bolt on !

I suspect that many aftermarket options for the 'beak' will pop up.

What time frame are you guys hearing the HM will arrive in the U.S.? I'm told sometime in July.

June 29th is the offical release at your local Ducati dealer, bikes will be coming in just around this date.
