HM Pictures from Legends of the Motorcycle
Cassos and I attended the LOTM Concours in Half Moon Bay, CA, at the Ritz Carlton. Beautiful spot and a great show.
We were fortunate enough to chat briefly with Mr. Terblanche and to get a few answers to some questions about the bike. The HM is very compact and has a low seat height for a SM styled bike. This bike will appeal to a broad audience because of that. We also helped out some photographers from Motorcyclist magazine with their photo shoot.
The final pre-production HM-S... still with the gold nitride forks, the production version will have the DLC coating
Another angle...
We confirmed that the engine cases are painted aluminum, not magnesium. The mag cases are more porous and can seep a little oil.
It has an exhaust valve
We help out with the photoshoot...
The official photographer, they don't pay him enough!
Mr. Terblanche with his baby
There were many other really cool bikes there, from customs to Valentino Rossi's Moto GP bike and everything in between. Very cool show.

Thanks for posting those.
US market bike with DOT reflectors and US size license plate frame.
Those DOT reflectors will have to go..

Thanks DP. Great pics. How would you say the seat height compares to the MS?

From what I saw, the HM is a little lower but not by much. The biggest difference is the MS has a pretty big step in the seat for the pillion. It will be easier to swing a leg over the HM. With the sag set properly, even those with a short 30" inseam should not have a problem with the seat height.

Looks sweet but I think I would have to opt for the MS. More gas, nice screen and wet clutch - no rattle.

Fixed it:
Looks sweet, I think I'll have to opt for the HMS, less gas, no screen, and dry clutch - complete with rattle.

Sweet! Great pics. One day I'll have to get to Half Moon Bay for the show.
Bike is looking like everything I want.
Just saw the frame welds, hope the production model has nicer welds.

I noticed the same thing, but they do look better on the track release photos.

The frame welds look cobby. In comparison, the welds on the MV Agusta are exquisite. I guess there is a price to be paid for mass production.
