Motard News

Received from Ducati this morning:

DUCATI HYPERMOTARD 1100 GOES INTO PRODUCTION
Scheduled to arrive in dealer network in May

As disclosed on a number of occasions by the company and recently confirmed on the DESMOBLOG by President and CEO, Federico Minoli, production has now begun of the long-awaited Ducati Hypermotard 1100 in the Borgo Panigale factory.

The production schedule for this new model has been fully respected and the first bike came off the production line on 18 April.

The new Ducati Hypermotard 1100 bikes will arrive on the market in Ducati’s official dealer network by the end of May.

In the rest of Europe the bikes will also be delivered at the end of May, while they are due to arrive in the USA and Australia in the month of July.

Expectation is high of what promises to be another extraordinary Ducati success.

Yes, I posted about the Termignonis in another thread,
slip-ons, and a 2-1 side mounted full system.
I wish Ducati had photos showing the accessories mounted on the bike....

More info mined from the features page...

WHEELS - Contrary to the original specs, they now say the base 1100 will have the forged Marchesini ten-spoke rims. The wheels on the S-model will machined versions of the same rims.

TIRES - The S will ship with Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's. The base will get Bridgestone BT014's that should protect the rims during shipment.

Nice! You can attach the pdf file just as you would a photo. Click "Manage Attachments" under Additional Options.

That single exhaust setup is interesting and quite different. Seems like it relocates the blinkes and perhaps even the license plate? Is there a different angle picture available?
