excellent "home made" video with president minoli visiting the factory and telling his guys to "hurry and don't waste time, the people are really waiting for this one..."

you can see construction on the 70 pre-production bikes in process... and realize how much things are still done by hand at ducati... it gives me pleasure knowing I ride a motorcycle that was truly built by hand... makes the price definitely worth it.

interesting comment at the end when they explain their production process which essentially boils down to the parts necessary for one bike to be built all located in the same spot... SO IF THERE'S PARTS LEFT IN THE BOX THEN WE KNOW SOMEONE FORGOT SOMETHING.... HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!....reminds me of when I would build legos... slightly more important not to forgot a part on a ducati though wouldn't you say? good vid.

When I was in the military, part of my job was assembling jet engines. We had these service carts with molded plastic trays on them. Every single part on the engine had a slot on the cart, so you always knew that you accounted for everything.

Every now and then, we would mess with the Quality Assurance guys when they came to sign off the job. Upon completion of an engine assembly, we'd gather up a few screws and nuts and stuff from around the shop, stick them in a Zip-Loc bag, label the bag "Miscellaneous Parts", and throw it on the service cart.

They look on the QA guy's face was priceless!
