Is the Hyper a practical everyday street bike ?
I've been admiring this incredible bike and I think I'm falling in love. Living in Florida , flat land and very limited curves, would the HyperMotard be worth the money spent for use in a place like Florida ?
I realize the full potential of the bike would not be used here (in Florida), so could it be a practical "everyday" street bike.

That's what I'm getting it for; upright seating position, nice wide bars, wide comfortable-looking seat, lots of torque.
sounds like a great overall bike, to me.

Lets not forget the weight either. My BMW Adventure has all of that (OK maybe not the torque), but at 2X the weight.

No curves in Florida? I hear you have plenty of on and off ramps.

We've been considering the HP as a daily commuter as well.
Seems like it would be perfect. Air cooled, upright riding position, light weight...mmmm - yummy!

I live down in Fort Lauderdale and I'm buying a HM because it looks like its going to be such a great bike for city riding. Right now I have a '95 GPZ-1100 and it is no fun. Something that weighs under 400 pounds, makes 80-ish HP with a decent torque curve, and can be thrown around might make riding here fun again.
