Gas Tank Capacity
What's the capacity of they Hypermotard? I'm coming off a BMW K1200R and I have it narrowed down to an Aprilia Tuono Factory, KTM Super Duke and last, but not least, the Hypermotard. I like the Hypermotard the best, but if the range isn't sufficient then I'll have to pass and go with the Aprilia or the KTM.

WOW Just a gnat's ass over 3 Gal.! Considering most would , no doubt, at the least install the exhaust/filter kit, that puts mpg at approx. 35. 105 miles per tank, hmmmm I could deal with that happily. The fuel light on my S1K comes on at 95-105 miles during everyday riding. Neither were meant for touring, and the Hyper was, I believe, built as nothing but a fun little ripper of a hooligan (how do you say hooligan in Italian ) bike. Just my opinionated .02

It's listed on the HyperMotard page, at Ducati.com. Tech specs, lower right of the page, I believe.

If your riding-style on the HyperMotard wouldn't deviate from your S1K style, JohnyC, expect the fuel light to come on at 73-81 miles (your range multiplied by the ratio of the fuel tank capacities).
Be glad you don't have a MH900e with stock tank .... your range would be 65-72 miles I have upgraded the tank on mine and now, I can carry almost 5 gallons, courtesy Ca Cycleworks / Chris Kelley

Todays price of $899 is a bit higher than the introductory offer. For more info, visit http://ca-cycleworks.com/shop/catalog/mh_tank.html
Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Ca-Cycleworks, bla bla bla - just one happy customer

But that's the riding-style this sexy beast is made for. Tearin' up the sticky Buns! Good God, I wish I had the do-re-me, to add one to my stable.
