Ducati Oil Filter alternatives.
Ducati Multistrada 620 Oil and Filter Change - webBikeWorld
Ducati 444.4.003.4A $15.95
Amsoil EAOM138C $16.90
Wix 557013 $11.60
K&N Part # KN153
Napa FIL 1352 $12.44 /ea
Wix 51352 & Napa 1352 Oil Filter: FleetFilter Secure Online Store
Wix & K&N make good filters. I got the Wix 557013. They turned out to be chromed though.
Not sure why that Napa filter is on my list now. Must be another alternative that I found.
I got a cheap plastic wrench at an auto parts store that fit the Duc filter. Also got a couple new copper crush washers from the Duc dealer..

+1 on K&N 153 - nice that it has a 17mm nut on it for ease of removal/replacement

Or you can get a permanent oil filter from Pure Power Oil Filters High Performance Motor Oil its a 22 micron rated full flow stainless steel filter in a aluminum housing, its slightly larger, & will carry more oil. With this filter my bike ran 10 degrees cooler. Aloha Alex

Interesting, I have always read about these types of filters but never actually run one. I am guessing you got part #PP8107? How many miles before you wash it out or do you just do it after every track day?
Thanks

Not sure about the part #, I've had it since 09, I clean it every time I change my oil, every 2500mi. Aloha Alex

Yes, part # PP8107
Alex, Is that an accurate, factual statement? If so, I think I'll swing the $200 bucks for 10 degrees cooler, especially since I live in South Florida with lots of traffic!
