Folding mirrors

Anyone got any ideas on tightening the fold away mirrors? They are pretty tight side to side but up and down my right side will not stay put. After 55mph it moves on its own. I've tried tightening the Phillips head screw but no luck

I always assumed the world was still behind me when I used the stock mirrors. Replace them and solve your problem

+1 I had to ditch them and just get some bar end mirrors. Looks a lot cleaner without them anyways

The motard parts account is not smiling right now so just looking for a fix . Any links to some aftermarket mirrors just to look at? Ones that don't stick up too high ..... Any ideas to tightening up what I got

I got mine from cycle gear. Just a basic bar end mirror and also got some bar ends from them that looked to do the trick of what I wanted. I only got one mirror though and it is on the left side. I will post a pic up tomorrow of how I have it mounted. The bar ends had a good space between the grip and the larger part of the bar end that it allowed me to mount it there on the bar end itself so that it doesn't stick out very far. I purchased a set of led turn signals, the bar ends, and the bar end mirror all for less than $90 from cycle gear. It is their home brand I believe, Speed Metal. Quality seems really good, so I figured I would give it a shot. I will get a pic on here tonight or tomorrow so you can get a better idea of what I did.

You made me look at this for the first time. Try that knurled knob art the base of the mirror.
I put the Aprilla mirrors on the 2nd day I had the bike.

Here's a couple pix of my current set up. There is enough space on the bar end to mount a bar end mirror directly on it. You could put one on both sides but I just choose to have one mirror. It doesn't interfere with the throttle if placed on the right side. The mirror was $40 and the bar ends were $20 for the pair. Both from Cycle Gear

The CRG mirrors are nice, but he said his funds for the bike are low so I'm guessing those would be out.

You mean the mirror only or you handguard is moving? I hd never had problem with the mirror. It is tight as long as the hand guard does not move up and down
