I didn't like em. Actually that's not fair, I did like the light weight, stick, ease of turn in, etc... Pushed a little too far I guess and it just broke without warning. I must want/need a little more progression towards the point of no return. Never was fully comfortable on them.

2CT means dual compound. There are Pilot Powers, Pilot Powers 2CT, Power Pure 2CTs and Power One 2CT. Between the three 2CT models the difference is not just the tread pattern, but also how the dual compounds are arranged.

I've ran the Pures on both my bikes on the street and track and Power Ones on my 748 at the track, but not the DOT type. They seam to do ok for me, but I'm only a C group guy (for now...).

I hate 2ct's as well, they behave weird. Normal Pilot Powers however are just fine.

How come you re-valved the shock? If my forks getting serviced doesn't make help at all with my handling issues I was thinking about getting the shock worked on along with a cartridge kit...is the shock set up for heavy dudes? I'm only 180lbs.

with gear im about 185 to 190 with backback and all...when i had ohlins do my forks they said send in the rear as well and they could make it perform a 100% better due to ducati cutting corners on some of the componets inside the shock to save money it now performs like my ttx s on my other two bikes...

I just had my rear Ohlins shock rebuilt/serviced, cleaned out, new seals, new Ohlins shock fluid, inspected. He is a Ohlins distributer & told me the shock was fine, he did notice that I was near the end of my adjustment range, so he removed a couple of shims for me so I would be in the "middle" of my adjustment range. I guess that's what you call revalving.

The good news is the suspension guy said our shoock is as good as the one you can buy from Ohlins, (no cheap parts) the only difference being the Ducati spec valving. Aloha Alex

The plastic shock spring nut was a Ducati spec, it was supposed to make the spring adjustment easier, & did cause some shock body problems for some, you can get a aluminum shock nut part #531-01 direct from Ohlins for about $20. Aloha Alex
