New levers... a little help on the clutch lever install, please

How do I get the little circled doo-dad out so I can put it in the new lever? (It's the little barrel that the plunger screws into...) It doesn't seem to be able to come out, but I didn't get anything like it with the new levers. I'm hoping I'm just a bone-head and that I missed something obvious...

Thanks,
Rob

There were some horror stories about changing levers , a guy bought a new to him pristine sport bike changed the levers and something went wrong and the brakes locked up , Something rather simple , cost him big time $$$
Make sure all is ok ...Just a warning , may not apply to you...

Figured it out: I needed a bigger hammer. I used a small socket as a drift and knocked the inner sleeve out of the pivot. All back together now. Here's hoping I have it adjusted correctly.
