I found this thread. This could be a resistance issue according to this owner. Here's the link.

Thanks, that could be it. Guess I'll have to do some research on resistors and see what type, style, size I need and where to put them.

UPDATE:
Ok so I got some resistors yesterday 10w10ohm and 10w50ohm cause thats all they had and I slaved in the 10w10ohm and the dash indicator came back but it and the turn signals flashed fast. The 10w50ohm was TOO much resistance so that didn't work. I also went back and forth with the Service menu settings "lamp" or "led" and could not get the flash rate and dash indicator to work as it should. I tried every possible combination with the 10w10ohm resistors and service menu. I am so confused now.

If the 10 ohm worked barely but the 50 ohm was too fast, then it sounds like somewhere between those two is what you need. You can also combine resistors to come up with different values if you wire them in series.
Another option would be to have someone measure the resistance on the stock setup, compare with what your signals are and use the proper resistors to get the correct values.
You could try these Oberon ones from Motowheels. They wire in parallel.

For what it's worth I am not sure that changing from lamp to led in the menu ever actually did anything, at least on my 08.

Slaving in the stock rear in some form or combination I was able to see a difference with the LAMP/LED settings but overall I still have not got the desired result. I'm going to see if I can find a 10w20 or 22 ohm resistor.

Where and how are you putting the resistors ?
Stock uses LED fronts and Bulbs in rear.
If you have all LED then you need the resistors parrallel to the REAR LEDs

The resistors were slaved in parallel on the rear lights, one on each side.
