oil cooler

did a search and couldn't find too much on it in relation to hypers..

anyone install an aftermarket oil cooler on their 1100?
Ducati Hypermotard Oil Cooler By SC-Project

haven't checked the NCR website yet but do they make one for the hyper?

if you've installed it on your bike WHY and WHEN did you consider installing it? In other words, if you replaced the cylinders was that the point where you said, 'i should probably increase the cooling'?

I'm not going to replace internals but I will be increasing the power via bolt ons and a dyno tune and in an effort to keep the motor cool and efficient i figured i should upgrade the oil cooler..

thoughts appreciated.

The SC Project oil cooler is probably the most effective mod you can do to the Hyper. I love mine. Got it from Motovation.

I have the NCR for my 2V. I've used it on a couple of bikes - it works great.

I use the Febur one, its oversized, curved, & aluminum, works great.
The NCR one is good but it does not have the oil temp fitting like the stock or Febur one.
I think anyone that has a modded motor, runs their aircooled motors hard or lives in a hot climate will be beter off with one. I personally would not run without one. Aloha Alex

Alex, Where did you find the Febur oil cooler for your H-Tard? I looked at their website and wasn't able to find it. Is there a stockist in the US?

After seeing some high temps in summer traffic I installed the febur unit.
No problems, works great and I don't get notchy gear changes asociated with hot thinning oil.
I think I ordered direct from Italy

FYI you know the evo and sp already have a big one right

A new oil cooler with 85 percent more surface area keeps internal temps for the air-cooled engine under control, while the old unit finds its way down to the 796.

this is still engineered for the stock motor, producing factory numbers... correct? when i mod the motor and bump the power i'm gonna want to have better cooling, ya?
