Anyone with this tidy tail?
I found this on ebay;
eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
has anyone used one of these? any good? I was going to get the evotech but i don't like the way the turn siginals look up high. And i don't want to cut any wires.
Any feedback would be appreciated
Thanks

this one came on my 796. the reg. plate is about 70% unsupported - would vibration crack it? looks ok so far (3weeks ownership) previous owner managed to wear the plate against the tyre either from stunts or a heavy pillion... can't see if cables were cut to fit it.

How big is your license plate? Here in the US our plates are only 4" tall, so I’m guessing that about 50% of the plate will be on the bracket (from the pictures I seen), but now thanks to your reply it made me think about clearance issues?

Not me thats too rich for my Do It Yourself ass. I mounted my plate on the chain guard, And bent a bracket for the blinkers out of a piece of 1/8 inch thick 3/4 inch wide aluminium.
My total for parts was around $7.oo. I did not move my plate light and just unplagged it at the factory plug. I would/will possibly have to put a super bright white L.E.D. down by the plate to make it totally legal. Which will involve cutting and extending/routing the plate light wires.however having between 16 and 21 hours of sunlight during ride season it hasn't been an issue worth being pulled over for yet. (been followed by more than one officer) the blinkers just had to have a little extra wire tucked away under the brakelight. the bracket is held on by the brakelight mounts.
Left side of bracket and the left blinker
right side of bracket and the right blinker
Please excuse the mess I call my garage in the background, between my duc, the kids wheeler, and my house being older than I am I've been to busy to clean the mess up.

UK plates 7.5"h x 9.5"w 180 x 240 (actually not sure what the "legal" minimum size is here - but a lot of riders get done for undersize plates) better check...
The ebay one you found (like mine) I think works ok - you don't get to kick the blinker when getting your leg over, unlike the high ones!

My Duc. Is short in comparison to my Rm250 and I'm not wearing knee braces and motocross boots so it is very rare that my foot even comes close to the blinkers and I'm a Vertically Challenge Individual being only 5'7" with all my height waist up. (aka short stump legs) I have kicked the carbon fiber side pannels a time or 3 but haven't got a light yet. Having said that I'm now predestined to kick one into orbit the first time the bike is off the lift and I throw a leg over it. and at a cost of 7.00$ roughly 3 euro's pretty big savings. over the ebay kit. More money to spen on powercommander, pipes, I bought the flywheel that my brother and milled down and lightened for less than the money I saved on this kit including what it cost me to make my own. thats a 2 for one!

Yes when you look at the savings it makes sense if you are half decent fabricator. Probably would have done it myself if mine hadn't come with a tidy already. Your high version looks fine too - all the lights together. As for kicking them off I'm 6' 2" & definitely prone to wacking things being lanky. That & banging my head on stuff....
Assume you have a 1100. Many more mods seem available or have been done to these than 796s'. Might be worth starting a thread on flywheel lightening - advantages or otherwise. At barely 1 month ownership I'm happy enough with the bike to not be doing anything drastic yet!
