I'm confused

I thought I had damaged an injector when I removed my PC3 because I recieved an error message 13.2 , now Im not sure its an injector in fact it
may not be an injector at all... just to make sure i switched them around and hooked the batery back up, turned on the ignition and cycled the error codes... still showing 13.2 vertical cylinder injector... then I removed both injectors from the harness and checked the error codes which should indicate problems with both the vertical and horizontal, but still only 13.2

any ideas?

You may have damaged the wires in he clip not the injector. Thats why the problem is stayin put. Unplug the injector and check the pins and wires leaving the connector.

sounds logical, but when i checked for error codes with both injectors out i should have seen an error for both vertical and horizontal yes?

I will try that, but what explains only one error code with both injectors removed? I think I should see an error code for both vertical and horizontal, but this is all new to me so I'm not sure.

error code might be because of shorted wires not an open like it would be if both injectors were unplugged. use a resistor or test light as a load and short the other plug I bet you get an error code on both then. I'm guessing you have broken wire insulation above bad injector and its shorting and throwing the code.

Do you have a noid light? Is one cylinder firing or both still? The bike may need to be running to diag the injectiors being messed up internally.

OK pluged the PC3 back in and still get the 13.2 error code. Inspected connectors and wires and cant see anything obvious. I dont have the tools or even know how to test for a short somewhere if that is the general concensus. any further advice would be very much appreciated.

Swap the ecu with a local identical bike see if the problem goes with your computer or stays with your bike. Other than that bring it to a dealer for repair.
