PVC install ?

Just received my PVC with optimizer and before I begin I'm curious is this thing plug and play or is there any splicing involved? It's a 2012 stock 796

I finished installation tonight. It is basically pnp, except one orange throttle wire. But it is easy. Just the injector plugs took me 30 mins to figure how to unplug them.

With you there what Pain in the ass! It took me a little more time than that but I'm really picky about wire runs, mounting equipment, etc. Also had Auto tune, and the lcd200 display to put in. I probably spent more time though finding the engine temp sensor and speed wire so I could have those inputs on the PcV monitored as well. But the biggest Time killer was finding the best spots to place the two additional Exhaust sensors for the auto tune.

O2 for auto tune on vertical cylinder (looking down from top)

O2 for horizontal cylinder looking over LV cat eliminator. (a little carbon fiber saw dust on decat from trimming hugger fender for decat fitment)

and from side factory o2 is the one closest to you

I loaded the all stock map and still have surge at low end under 3000rpm. But it seems a little bit better. And feel the acceleration is lazier as before. I am seeking a custom map or I will do a dyno as the last resort

Sounds like you either do not have the stock exhaust and you are using the stock map...or the Optimizer box isn't installed. If in fact you are running a STOCK bike with a STOCK map and Optimizer box....then you shouldn't be feeling any surging except at about 1800 to 2k revs. Ducati's don't run smooth under 2k...no matter what you do. The Throttle bodies are too large in diameter.

Hey guys, any word on pcv compatibility with 2010's, 11's and 12's? All the same part/connectors, or is there any difference?

apparently, the guys at my local shop spoke with dynojet, and dynojet was unsure if the fitment is the same

whats the part number on the PCV and optimizer for the 2012 hyper 796?

i have a 2011, and im trying to pick one up

I talked to my duc dealer and they told me the plug in port is the same on the Siemens ecu's on 2010,11,12 . They also told me the for$300 they can dyno tune my 796 making a custom map for my bike and make it a full open loop and results will be way better than pcv guaranteed !!! .... Power commander going back !!!

I'm very curious about this. If you go that route, please post results, Dyno chart, etc.
I'm just a little skeptical, because I have come across too many authorized Ducati 'experts'. Many of whom didn't have a clue!
