09 standard hyper does not have the "good forks" and has less adjustability.

Hey guys! This is a 796 thread!
I keep reading threads on the Little red roosters that turn into Big red rooster threads. Its too confusing for my tiny mind.
We can't adjust our forks except up or down in the yokes or by changing oil - I'm hoping to find out best route to go without spending shedloads. Not sure my goodly wife would appreciate me throwing another ŁK at a bike I could barely justify buying in the 1st place! What about the projects in shed projects in shed projects in shed....?

Thanx, I might look into this if I start doing a lot of night riding. I'm used to very poor lights on old brit bikes so the hyper doesn't seem too bad to me (in 3 weeks use). At least no worse than the 12v conversion I put on my old BSA (55/60 halogen as opposed to the old 6v 35/40 "pre-focus" bulbs)
I do get a weird "ring" of light at the sides of the bike, ie lighting up the hedges as you go by. I get it a bit on other bikes but the hyper seems the most bright. Forward penetration is kind of ok on full beam. It's better when I remember to wear my specs! Get your eyes tested folks. It would be nice to have one of those headlight adjuster screws with a knob on the dash to raise or lower it.
The other thing is the full beam light on the dash - it's way too bright & distracting when you're peering into the darkness.
