Hard starting?
I've got an '08 1100-S that recently started to give me trouble starting it.
It runs fine once started and warmed up, but when first starting, it will barely catch & often has to be restarted a few times. I know you should never use throttle when starting anything fuel injected, but often, that's the only way I can get her started, by blipping the throttle while cranking?
Could I possibly need a TPS reset, or a throttle body balancing? I don't think there's an idle adjustment, and once warmed up, it idles perfectly anyway.
Anyone have any tips, or hints?
Thanks in advance.

Mine is similar when cold it sounds like you need a tps sync and throttle body balance. I believe touching the throttle while cranking is ok (but not prefered) on the old ecu, it is the simens that auto corrects the tps that would go nuts if you open the throttle while cranking.

Same here.
I started her up yesterday after she'd been sitting idle for 2 months. She needed 4~5 cranks instead of the usual 1 or 2 to get up and running again.
With cranks I don't mean the number of times I'd have to push the start button, but, well, you know

Yes. Get it done! and then find out why/how it went astray.

I just added Motoectric cables AND Iridium plugs and it's STILL the same!
I have another problem, maybe unrelated? The yellow light, top left dash will come on, and I frequently have to shut off the key & cycle it back & forth until the light goes out, to be able to get it to crank?!?

My bike had been sittiong for months. Could be old gas, fuel pump engages. It keeps turning over but simply won't catch no matter how many attempts.. Not sure of my next move
