Hyper-touring (a bags question)
New owner, I am looking for luggage, my existing luggage doesn’t fit. I am wondering what everyone’s opinion of the Ducati tank-cover, tank bag, and side bags are. Is the quality good?
Thanks!

SlackCat,
I have the Ducati luggage rack (96760508B) the tank cover (96759308B) and the soft tank bag (96759408B). The quality seems fine and the look is rather stylish IMHO.
I've never actually used any of them so I can't speak to that but I was going to be listing them for sale shortly in the classifieds. If you decide that is the way you want to go, PM me for more info.
Thanks,
Romer

What do you think of this one. This a photo of my last hyper and I had a Camera bag on the bag of it with the red pipping. I got it on flea bay for £2.00 and i intend putting it on this new bike. It was handy for a lunch, drinks and i used to carry the Bible and glasses in it for when i stoped and had a read down by rhe sea.

Darsey that's a good looking set up! And similar to what i had in mind for mine. What did you use to mount it to the bike?

When I used my bags on the Hyper it made for difficult packing. The shape of the bags along with the indents for the bodywork on the front side bags makes for interesting organization. When I had the bags I stuffed one sneaker in each bottom, and the rest of my clothes/toiletries on top. You might have to pack the bags while on the bike. Also remember to pull over when it rains because they are not waterproof!
Also, you will want to wash the bike thoroughly before using the tank cover as an tiny debris that gets caught under it will rub/scratch the paint. If you need any help in installing the cover let me know, I had the dealer rearrange my straps through small openings where it fit much better.
***As a side note my younger siblings called my bike the pregnant guppy after seeing the bags packed and on the bike.

[QUOTE=Brandon.jeske;1265286]Darsey that's a good looking set up! And similar to what i had in mind for mine. What did you use to mount it to the bike?
Brandon, i placed a piece of plywood on the bottom of the bag and then used an ordinary spouting bolt to tighten it down on the seat
