headers...again
Sorry if this has been posted before but I can't seem to dig up the numbers. After having put it off for a while I think that I will finally have to ditch the LV cat elim and get full headers. So I am hoping to gather some info on the diameters out there. Looking to do 2-1 as I have a muffler to put on. To be clear I am looking for the diameter of the long tube part, not the end of the 2-1 collector.
Anybody know the diameters for the following:
Arrow:
Spark: 42mm? not sure about that one
Zard: 45mm - pretty sure
Sc-Project: 52mm
FF by Fresco:
Termi: 54mm?
I have a couple emails out so I'll update the list as I receive info for future searches on the topic.
Thanks in advance,
Bryce

So you only want the full headers to install the 2-1 muffler? I think it can be done with the butterfly valve eliminator pipe as well, if you cut it up a bit. Performance wise, the 2-1 headers will maybe be marginally better.

SC is 52mm, Termi was a bit bigger. I think it was 54mm, donīt nail me to it though.

thanks ben
drinky - I certainly agree on the marginal gains and in 6 months when porting is done and pistals are in then I will most likely go with the sc project 2-2 which is one of the best systems IMHO. I the mean time I am wanting to test out something, do a few dyno runs, compare, fiddle around etc...

FWIW i had the 2-2 built as the SC wont fit the 2010 evo sp
mine from memory 38-39 mm from the headers 42-44mm mid pipe and 50-52mm to the mufflers...with stacks gained 11 rwhp and lots of torques
here is a silly vid too

I am looking to switch over to headers also. Those numbers seem all over the place though. The stock mid pipe (both cylinders together) is around 54mm if I remember correctly, the Termi headers can't be over 2"diameter at the heads.

I measured the outside diameter of my Arrow headers, since I didn't want to take them off to measure inside, and got the following:
39mm
45mm
52mm

mate the stock header out of the motor is 37mm diam (inside wall) the od of the stock header pipe is roughly 39mm (where the O2 bung goes) then from the cat it flares to 52mm (std bike)
how big you go is upto you , but a 54mm header pipe (if i am reading this right on this bike and motor is just plain bonkers)
when i say in my measurments 42-44mm is that i am doing it with a ruler, not verniers ok..my pipes aren't 6 different sizes ok just somewhere around those numbers
good luck and have fun on your build (another pick showing my header pipe) you can see the step from the flange size we had to make to fit upto the mtr correctly

Thanks for the replies all. Probably will have fresco whip something up so that I can get the angle of the exit correct.
