Termi 2-1
I bought a used '08 1100-S, that came with a Termi 2-1 already installed. It didn't come with a baffle in the can & I was wondering if this system was delivered that way?
If not, does anyone have a straight baffle they'd like to either sell of trade, I've got tons of S4RS & Tard parts!

The baffle has been known to cause the 2-1 carbon muffler to fail. I wouldn't use it.

I shortened the Shotgun Termis on my S4RS and have run both baffles and open with no problems!

I've never had the baffle in mine. It was in the box with the old system and assume it's still there. Not sure why you'd want to install?

Let me know if you'd like to sell it to me. I write for a magazine: Urban Moto Magazine
And I'd like to do some Dyno runs with it in and out, to see if & what the difference is. I shortened my 2-1 Termi & this just makes me all the more curious as to if more back presure would add more torque?

This other one just happened, less than a week ago :
Carbon sleeve starting to melt and discolor. The owner bring it to the dealer who send a request to Italy, and Ducati Italy just refused to replace it.
Ducati said it was due to a "non normal" use, which is weird because the owner of this one use his Hyper on the track...
Both stories are from a Termi 2-1 with baffle.

i wouldnt chance it

Let me dig the box out and see if it's there. If I've got it, you are welcome to it.

I think these examples are more likely from poorly mapped & tuned engines, than any DB Killer. All bikes come from the factory very lean to meet EPA & European clean air Regs, so they run hot as Hell! If you add/change parts, without mapping correctly, it can further increase the lean condition.
