Safe RPM

So I got my ECU flashed and the RPM cut off is 9500 now. How safe is the engine at this RPM?

Hmmm? How "safe"? Kinda like "almost" pregnant... Mine is set to 9800 rpms and the limiting component is the connecting rods. They will be "ok" unless you have changed other components to significantly increase the power output at those rpms.

I asked for mine to be raised as high as possible, not for more power, but to extend the rev range for rideability/handling performance. The power drops off pretty big up there with OEM cams, so you won't be going up there for acceleration. The benefit IMO, is that the power doesn't end abruptly at 8250 and upset the chassis in the heat of "battle".
