Engine stall under braking. Is there a fix?

I'm sure i've posted this before but can't find the thread.
My bike is always, and I mean ALWAYS stalling on braking with half a tank of fuel or less. The less fuel in the tank, the worse it gets.
Dealer doesn't have a clue, just out of warranty, in Mexico (imagine the level of support that is available to me). Every single time the tank gets below half using MEDUIM to Hard braking the engine just dies.
What the hell is causing this this? it's driving me nuts.
A couple of times in traffic it has actually put me in a dangerous situation because once the engine dies, I can't cluth start. I have to pull the clutch and hit the starter after a few seconds.
To not have it stall I have to brake from 80km/h to around 10km/h in like 100'
This cannot be normal

No, it just dies. Exactly like fuel starvation but with half a tank, I can't see how this could be possible

Have them check/replace your fuel filter.

I have just a couple of questions. Is your clutch pulled in when this happens? What engine mods have you done if any? Has your bleed screws been adjusted?

Clutch engaged, termi slip-ons with DP ecu (had problem before this mod) what are bleed screws?

This is just a thought.
When you remove the filler cap does it suck in air.
Poss blocked or inoperative filler cap air vent.
