interesting sliders
I stumbled upon these fender sliders... Front Fender Frame Slider Screw Bolt DUCATI MONSTER BUELL APRILIA RSV Black | eBay
I've seen from many hyper low sides that the point on the tank covers get sanded down. I wonder if this slider could be used to help some?
Discuss?

good choice! I prefer pulled pork sliders, my self. But they may be one of the reasons why I had to buy a bigger 1 piece suit this winter. Well, that and sam adams!

My understand is, in a low side, it will hit the peg first, then the ultra wide handle bar, if the handle bar moves/twist, then the tank fairing.
I had a speedmoto frame, front/rear axle sliders and I had a low side two months ago. I still need to fix the tank fairing, handle bar guard/mirror and the peg. Rear axle slider got sanded as the rear wheel was still spinning while it is on the ground. Front axle slider got slight scratch, can't see the red "speedmoto" logo anymore. Without the sliders, it can be worst. However, the speedmoto frame slider is still too short for HM to stop scratching the tank.
All in all, i don't think the stuff in the op's link has much use.

Ashamedly, i've gone down twice on the hyper. Nothing will protect the tank covers that i have researched so far. Enlighten me if i'm wrong.
The stock bar bends like butter, which depending how you fall will hit/break the side cover and scuff the tank top cover.
If there is a solution I think it would look ridiculous on the Hyper.
This bike is not made to withstand a fall....

Well, I think I might just uninstall my sliders and sell for some money. The bike will get damaged on the fairing anyway.

You guys...
Got it all wrong.. You need to position your body under the bike when it is sliding on the ground so as not to damage the bodywork..

I just installed front and rear axel sliders from T-Rex and looking at them after they were installed, I was wondering what do they really protect? I have not yet done frame sliders (spent my $$ on a GPR stabilizer instead) and now after reading this thread I wonder if I should even bother? My buddy had some jerk hit his bike when it was parked and knocked it over and he feels if he had frame sliders the damage would not have happened.
Who likes their sliders? Who thinks it has saved them $$ for all they take away from the bikes aesthetics?
