anyone have a spare tank fairing?
I was in the process of putting on my extended cycle-works tank, and one of tabs on the fairing was broken. This tab is used for the lower bolt, so I am posting to see if anyone swapped to a carbon one, and wants to part with theirs.
I need the upper body panel on the right side (brake side), in red.
Only one on ebay is the left side, and an overpriced one in the UK, where they want $100 for the shipping.

Take Your fairing with the busted tab to an autobody man. Save some money...

drinky:
I am going backwards ! Visually...I am going with a red bellypan, and even swapping the fork guards on my S to red ones.
nikmusolino:
Somehow...somewhere...parts of the tab went missing. I can superglue the largest piece, but it is not large enough to work.

I love a red bike, but the carbon cover makes it stand out a bit more. Are you going to make the cover red as well?
If the tab isn't too complicated, maybe a body shop could make something and plastic weld it to the fairing.

I have broken off that stupid tab twice. Once on the orginal fairing and once on the replacement, and I don't have the tab pieces anymore, they were trashed. If anyone finds a good, inexpensive fix for that tab, I'd love to know.

I have the part you need - it was lightly scratched, but repaired and repainted.
What's it worth to ya? I'm thinking it's worth about $250?

I got mine fixed after my mishap.
The guy cut a piece of car fender in the shape of a washer, the same thickness but stronger, and stuck it on with 3M special magical stuff. Sanded, painted, looks like new

well...the carbon ones are going for just over a $100 on fleebay. Why don't I make my bike a ying/yang special, and go red on one side and black on the other?
Or would that be more like a Stendhal Hyper?*

* Le Rouge et le Noir (The Red and the Black), 1830, by Stendhal, is a historical psychological novel in two volumes,[1] chronicling a provincial young man’s attempts to socially rise beyond his modest upbringing with a combination of talent and hard work, deception and hypocrisy — yet who ultimately allows his passions to betray him- Wikipedia
