Takeoff rearset and mirror?
Hi everybody,
Been lurking here for awhile. About 3k miles on my 796 hyper. This morning a fresh tire + cold asphalt (27F) + an off camber corner = dump I should have listened to the little guy on my shoulder that said, "Drive to work today." I sheared the left footpeg and broke the mirror/turnsignal/handguard.
Does anyone happen to have a left takeoff rear set (or pair) that he/she would like to sell? I'm considering the conventional DP mirrors, since adjusting the flip out ones all the time is somewhat annoying. However, if you have a takeoff flip out to sell, I would like to discuss.
PM is best.
Thanks for looking,
pat

You're a tropper for even chancing it. I'm such a fairweather rider anymore.
I dropped mine in the driveway while it was warming. On a slight hill, it just fell over. Busted the mirror. I weighed all the options and at the end of the day found a stock mirror on ebay for $100 and just put it on. After you buy the mirrors, the bar ends, you're getting up there in $$. I've seen stock rearsets on Ebay. Good luck.

"Trooper" is very kind. In retrospect, I would say "foolhardy."
Thanks for the ebay tip. I saw a few 1100 parts there. Will check fitment.

I will sell you my OEM 796 rearsets in the beginning of Feb when I come back from the USA if you can wait that long. Can't wait to get rid of them.

I have a near new Left hand side mirror, handguard, turnsignal assembly with all the mounts etc. Pm me if you would like it. I will let it go relatively cheap to keep from having to deal with the whole ebay listing, auction, etc. it is only left side, right got taken out in a tip over. And when all was said and done Acerbis ralley handguards, ProTaper bars, Lane splitter mirrors form western powersports, and led front blinkers that match the rear's shape from ebay on my own custom mounts.
