You must have wired the positive to a battery direct line.
Wire it to the fuse box accessory fuse or alternatively to a positive line that is on when the ignition is on ie Headlight.
Use a multimeter to check this.

Thank bro, eventually got it sorted and wired it in the tail light loop. Cheers

I've purchased a GIPRO gear position indicator from Healtech Electronics to fit to my 2002 ST2 Ducati. I also ride a 2010 Suzuki M109R which has factory gear indicator, and you sort of get used to it so I decided to fit one to the ST2.

As the ST2 has a cable driven speedo, I needed to also purchase a Healtech GPX-WSS harness kit which mounts a hall sensor onto the rear wheel to feed a speed signal to the GIPRO. The harness and GIPRO unit plug together and simply need an earth, ignition feed and one other connection.

The Hall effect sensor fitted well. I made a small brackt to mount it to the rear caliper bolt and it reads the heads of the securing bolts of the rear disc. Rout the cable along the frame and up towards the instruments and pick up the other wiring along the way.

There is a black/green wire that must connect to one of three various sources:

1. The SIGNAL wire of the crankshaft sensor.
2. The tacho SIGNAL wire.
3. The ignition coil SIGNAL wire

Not having a wiring diagram for the ST2, and specifically not having the colour coding for the wires, can anyone here tell me which is the most convenient of the three wires to locate and where the wire is and what colour it is please.

I just put a GIPRO gear position indicator from Healtech Electronics on my '08, 1100-S. I love it, but don't like the way it blanks out when I pull in the clutch. Even though I programed it properly, there is a slight delay when shifting gears & if you pull in the clutch & hold it, it gives you a "-" sign?
Anyone else having this problem?

In the installation instructions it actually tells you that it will do that but only if the engine is not running. I'd drop them a line as they are super helpful and there definately appears to be a problem there.

Did you use the hall effect harness on the rear disc bolts?

Where did you hook the green/black wire to?

Mine blanks out, when the clutch is pulled in, as well. Fortunately...I have enough recall to remember...

Yep, mine does the same.
Just have to look at the indictor before you shift, or shift quickly and look again or............ don't use the clutch...

Not quite sure why you guys have screens that blank out.

Mine loses the indicator and goes back to a ' - ' when stopped, but I can understand this because the rear wheel isn't turning so it cant see a speed signal.

No reason for it to lose the display when clutch is pulled?
