nah your fine. Just try and avoid it. I did it too a couple times on my break in when I missed a shift (was my first bike). I was worried too but once or twice aint gonna kill your bike.

Its OK to hit the redline on a new bike, just don't keep it there, don't baby her & don't keep her at a steady throttle, DO accell & decell often to load the rings, break her in HARD, she will run better for it. Aloha Alex

What they said... Just be mindful that you do want the bike to warm up prior to any riding especially in the winter with a new bike. It does take some time in the winter to warm up the engine. Same applies after break in, let the bike warm up prior to any first rides of the day.

^ haters gonna hate... jk! I would've looked into an 1100 if I wasn't so short. Tried to sit on one before and could barely get my leg over the seat...

I originally wanted a 1100 evo s but $14,995 was to pricey !!! I ending up with my 2012 hyper 796 for $9400 . I'm actually very impressed with my 796 !! Broke 100 mph just shifting into 4th ( that's when I hit the rev limiter.......whoops ) but overall the bike is great I think .
